The Staff
Earl Sandford, C.E., L.L.S., C.W.S. – President | e-mail | Earl Sandford graduated from University of New Hampshire in 1982 with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. He is currently a Licensed Professional Engineer (Civil), Licensed Land Surveyor, Septic Designer, and Certified Wetlands Scientist. A member of the New Hampshire Land Surveyors Association, Earl has also served on the New Hampshire Land Surveyors Board of Licensure since 2003. Besides his job as president of Sandford Surveying, he teaches classes in Surveying and GPS mapping at the University of New Hampshire. Earl has worked with Sandford Surveying since he founded the company in 1990.
Raymond P. Shea, L.L.S. – Office Manager, Survey Department Head, Septic Designer | e-mail | Raymond Shea attended Bucknell University from 1973 to 1974. He transferred to Vermont Technical College in 1974 and graduated in 1977 with an AS in Civil Engineering/Surveying. He is currently a licensed land surveyor in the states of New Hampshire and Massachusetts, as well as a licensed septic designer in New Hampshire. Ray has worked for Sandford Surveying since 2000, and his responsibilities include management and public presentation of survey and engineering projects, project estimation, client contact, supervision of surveying/engineering staff, deed research, boundary computations, and septic design.
Paul M. Silvernail – Surveying/Engineering Technician, Project Manager | e-mail | Paul Silvernail has an Associates of Science in Computer Engineering Technology from New Hampshire Technical Institute. He has completed a certificate course in Wetland Delineation at University of New Hampshire and a Basic Surveying certificate course at Northeastern University. He is currently a certified septic designer. Paul’s present responsibilities include project management, design for property surveys, subdivision design, septic design, wetland mapping, drafting and design, and deed research / boundary determination. He has worked with Sandford Surveying since 1996.
Henry Kunhardt, P.E. – Engineering | e-mail | Henry Kunhardt joined the staff of Sandford Surveying in 2006, bringing with him a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Colorado State University and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. Henry is a registered professional engineer in both Massachusetts and New Hampshire, and he is certified for septic design in New Hampshire and soil evaluation in Massachusetts.
Lori Noonan – CADD Draftsperson | Lori Noonan is responsible for the drafting of all surveys from work sheet form to finish product. A member of Sandford Surveying since 2000, she has taken classes at New Hampshire Vocational Technical College and University of New Hampshire.
Bria Sandford – Executive Assistant | After working with Sandford Surveying intermittently for several years, Bria assumed the official position of executive assistant in 2008. She manages the mail and filing, answers the phone, and is responsible for much of the financial management of the company.
Derrick Jones – Survey Field Technician | A Field Level II Certified Survey Technician, Derrick has been with Sandford Surveying since 2000. He completed a CST program with the University of New Hampshire in 2005 and passed NHLSA's Computational Survey Mathematics test the following year. Presently, Derrick's responsibilities include surveying all types of field surveys, boundary, topographical and construction surveys. He is proficient with survey robotics and GPS equipment, and is also responsible for some part of SSE's computer and network maintenance.
Aaron Sandford – Maintenance / Web design | Aaron graduated from high school in 2007. He is responsible for the design and maintenance of the company website. When not at college, he also works on the company field crew with Derrick Jones.
